The senior citizens from Asaa’Idaat Uitenhage wish to convey their heartfelt shukraan to you and the staff for a most wonderful experience they had during their outing to Kwantu Game Reserve. The game drive was very enlightening and pleasant especially with the most helpful and friendly game rangers. They were very knowledgeable with all the animals we saw during the drive. After a relaxing drive the sumptous meal you provided was most enjoyable in the pleasant surroundings you have.Asaa’Idaat, Thank you once again for opening your hearts to our senior citizens. We will definitely recommend Kwantu to friends and family. Shukraan
We were on our first ever South Africa trip and wanted to stay in Game reserve. On 4th March 2017 evening, when we reached Port Elizabeth Airport,we got picked up by Kwantu transfer service. This 6000-hectare game drive is easily accessible from the N2 highway towards Grahamstown. The lady at the reception welcomed us with a very friendly smile. Pollards inn was amazing. The room in the ground floor,(main building) was quite spacious , with a very good scenic view from the balcony. Thanks for the complimentary fruits, snacks and cool drinks. The staff were very friendly. Hats off to the chef. We are vegetarians and he took special efforts and gave us hot rice, dal fry, aloo mutter etc during our entire stay.
This is an alcohol free game drive. The Game drive was excellent. We could see African Lion’s whole family with kids and lioness very closely . They were just lazing off in the early morning sun and could not be bothered by seeing us. Our Ranger was very knowledgeable and he explained us about different animals, their behaviour and about the place. We were lucky enough to find a Giraffe, a baby hippo, lots of Impalas, antelopes, wildebeests, Zebras and a variety of birds. We were unfortunate to see African elephants and Rhinos. Visit to Predator and rehabilitation centre was an interesting experience. We were thrilled by seeing our Royal Bengal Tiger there. we saw white Lion. We could hear Lion’s roar from our balcony.
Our stay at Kwantu was fantastic. Thank you very much Kwantu.
We attended a Retreat at Kwantu with dear friends. We had an amazing time. The Game Drive was excellent with even a close sighting of a herd of beautiful African Elephants. Getting back to the hotel, we were treated to a gastronomic experience which left us feeling beyond satisfied. Our luxurious rooms were spacious and just the cherry on top to end off our adventurous day. We woke up feeling refreshed and of course the smiles of the helpful staff added to a wonderful stay. Our kids had a memorable time feeling so at home, enjoying the entertainment room as well as roaming freely around the Historical Village of Sidbury with the touch farm even including an up close experience with an Ostrich!
Kwantu is a place that you just have to visit again and again. You get so accustomed to the experience you can’t go anywhere else!
Kwantu Game Reserve has been an awesome experience. Everything from the staff to the accommodation and food was superb. They truly are a five star luxury hotel that offers a real bush experience. Of the big five, I managed to see the African lions, African elephants, Cape buffalo and black rhinoceros during my 3 night stay. I would suggest everyone to book 3 nights and not 2 nights. They also have a touch farm, rehabilitation center and swimming pools. There are no additional costs besides the amount you need to book to stay. It is truly value for money. #NoRegrets
My boyfriend and I went to Kwantu this past October and we cannot stop raving about our experience. When we first arrived, we realized that we had gotten a flat tire. Within fifteen minutes there was already staff members changing it for us. After that was taken care of, we were greeted with warm towels to refresh, delish snacks, and tasty juice. On the actual safari ride, rangers took us all over the park where we saw rhinos, lions, zebras, and a variety of other animals. After the drive, we were taken back to the resort for hot chocolate, cappuccinos, and small pastries. While we were relaxing, a staff member came up to us and asked us if we wanted to go back out to the reserve because they just spotted two male lions. Because we weren’t able to see them during the regular drive, we jumped at the chance. As soon as we got back, we were told that since we were only day visitors, we can have dinner earlier so that way we don’t have to drive back later than necessary. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was responsive, attentive, and truly cared about our experience there.
