Kwantu Private Game Reserve (“Kwantu”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This notice explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal information in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect
- Contact and booking details – name, phone number, email address, arrival details, number of guests and special requests (including dietary or accessibility needs you choose to share).
- Enquiry and form information – details you submit through our enquiry, function, travel agent, career or film production forms.
- Payment information – payments for online bookings are processed by our booking partners (NightsBridge for accommodation and ActivityBridge for day visits). We do not store full card details on our website.
- Website usage information – technical data such as your browser, device, pages visited and approximate location, collected through cookies and analytics tools.
Why we use it
- To respond to enquiries and provide quotations.
- To confirm, manage and deliver your booking, stay, day visit or event.
- To meet legal, accounting and safety obligations (for example, guest registration and indemnity forms).
- To improve our website and services.
- To send you news or offers, but only where you have agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
We only share personal information where necessary, with: our booking and payment partners (NightsBridge, ActivityBridge); travel agents or tour operators who made a booking on your behalf; IT, website-hosting and email service providers; and authorities where the law requires it. Some of these providers may store information outside South Africa; where this happens we take reasonable steps to ensure it is adequately protected, as required by POPIA. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies that are needed for it to work, and analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, through Google Site Kit, and Microsoft Clarity) that help us understand how visitors use the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work as expected if you do.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law (for example, financial records are kept for the period required by tax legislation).
How we protect it
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to its use for direct marketing, and withdraw any consent you have given. To make a request, email reservations@kwantu.co.za. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za.
Children
Our website is not aimed at children. Bookings must be made by an adult.
