KWANTU GAME RESERVE is the ideal location for Bird Watching or Birding.
Birding enthusiasts will be able to view a great diversity of birds within the savannah habitat. More than 250 species have been recorded in the area.
The summer months between November and March are the best time for birding as resident species are boasting their breeding plumage and the intra-African and Palaearctic migrants are still around.
At Kwantu Game Reserve bird watching can be done with the naked eye or through a visual enhancement device like binoculars and telescopes, by listening for bird sounds, or by watching public webcams.
